Royal Closet and King Features create a co-branding fashion project: BETTY BOOP BY ROYAL CLOSET will be available in limited edition starting in August in 30 Liverpool stores across Mexico.
For generation after generation, from the 1930s and to date, Betty Boop has been one of the world’s most beloved, iconic women. She remains the prototype of strong, independent woman and as an icon of women's liberation, breaking paradigms and always ahead of her time. Working closely with property owner Fleischer Studios, King Features is the exclusive worldwide licensing agent for Betty Boop.
The Royal Closet brand, owned by Montserrat Oliver (actress, fashion icon, TV host and entrepreneur), and Carlos Ortega, was designed by the latter and has been positioned in the marketplace by offering products that cater to the different moments and situations in the life of any woman who is interested in looking good.
Both are brands designed for today's women who are independent, versatile, feminine, bold, with unique personalities, who are not afraid to express themselves and be noticed.
The new line, which features clothing, pajamas, swimwear and accessories, is inspired by different trends of gender empowerment and limited to three colors: white, black and red. Focusing on shape, volume, texture and colors helps to draw attention to the detail and quality of the garments.
The design goal was to create a new visual identity and brand codes for Betty Boop by Royal Closet through this palette of colors, embroideries and prints (abstractions, lips, eyes, polka dots, hearts). In this first stage of the collaboration, the products will be exclusively for sale in a selection of 30 Liverpool stores. Liverpool is the largest chain of mid- to high-end department stores in Mexico.
